SQL DBA - SQL Database Administrator, Payments, Portugal

A Leading International Payments provider is currently recruiting for an enthusiastic SQL DBA - SQL Database Administrator to join their team in south west London or sunny Portugal!

Technical Skills (Essential):
Experience working with SQL Server 2008R2/2012/2016
Experience in installation and patching of SQL Server 2008R2/2012/2016/2017
Experience with T-SQL and the ability to write and manage Stored Procedures, Functions and Triggers 
SQL Server Integration Services SSIS and SQL Server Reporting Services SSRS
SSIS and SSRS administration
Experience with high availability technologies (i.e. Mirroring, AlwaysOn, Log Shipping, etc)
Implement disaster recovery strategies (AlwaysOn Availability Groups, SQL Server mirroring)
Experience with query optimization and index management
Experience working with the job agent
Experience writing PowerShell scripts
Ability to detect and troubleshoot SQL Server related issues
Understanding of database design and architecture
Backup and recovery processes
Understanding of Performance Counters, Dynamic Management Views and Extended Events

Technical Skills (Desirable)
Experience with the Service Broker is desirable                                
Experience with cashless payment technology (credit card, PCI, EMV, test cases) and industry is desirable
Knowledge of SCRUM and Kanban methodologies is desirable
