Lucy Rees, Recruitment Consultant

Lucy Rees recently joint DP Connect and is now one of our top billers. In January Lucy was awarded with DP Connects "Outstanding Performance by a Newcomer 2011" award. Here we ask Lucy some questions about her time at DP Connect.

  1. Q: How long have you been working for DP Connect?
    A: Ten and a half months
  2. Q: Bromley has a number of IT recruitment companies in the area, what made you join DP Connect?
    I did see a number of local agencies, but I felt that DP Connect was the best fit for me. With 2 young children, I was looking for a company that would offer me a flexible and part time working plan and in return they would get a very experienced recruiter, who was focused and able to get a very profitable desk up and running in a short period of time
  3. Q: What previous recruitment companies have you worked for?
    A: I worked for Progressive (an Sthree company) for over 10 years. I joined as a fresh faced graduate in 1997 and had a successful career there until I took extended maternity leave following the birth of my twins.
  4. Q: How have you found DP Connect in terms of working environment and friendliness?
    A: I have really enjoyed my time at DP Connect, everyone was and is, very friendly, there is a great team spirit. With regular nights out and good office banter, I feel like I have always worked here. There is also fantastic operational support, IT systems, and advertising budgets. They give you all the tools you need to have a successful career in IT Recruitment.
  5. Q: Would you recommend DP Connect to other experienced and junior recruitment consultants?
    A: Definitely
  6. Q: Lastly, what advice would you give anybody wishing to join?
    A: Come with the right attitude and aptitude, and the skies the limit!
