Java Application Support Specialist

Job Description

An opportunity has arisen for a Java Application Support Specialist to join a cutting edge payments company in central London at a very exciting time!

Java Application Support Specialist
Java, PL/SQL, Web Services (SOAP), Unix, Oracle ODI or Golden Gate.
Central London
£50-55,000 + bonus, pension, healthcare

You will be responsible for delivering 3rd line support across all of their core applications, and taking ownership of advanced troubleshooting to restore service quickly and efficiently. You will also be involved in release management and maintaining continuous integration.

That is why we are looking for someone who has strong technical skills in the following areas:
Java coding
PL/SQL
Unix (preferably Solaris)
Web Services (SOAP)
Oracle (ODI or Golden Gate)
IBM Tivoli

Production Support Activities
3rd line support for all Core Applications
Ownership of technical recovery activities to ensure restoration of service quickly and effectively.
Support application/infrastructure upgrades during the testing and implementation phases.
Triage of Infrastructure related incidents
Communication with the service management and customer support teams
Coordination of activities across the full supply chain including all 3rd Parties
