Lead SharePoint Developer

Job Description

My client who are a world leading and cutting edge Engineering and Integration organisation are currently in need of a Lead SharePoint Developer to support a major Government programme from their location in Central London.

This is a permanent position and SC clearance is required to commence the role.

My client is developing its Information and Communications Technology (ICT) presence significantly in the UK. It has ambitions to bid for, win and execute a number of major UK Government ICT programmes. A key element of these programmes will involve the management of ICT operations in existing customer estates (including third-party services) and the introduction of a managed and delivered environment / ICT enterprise; including the design, transition and operations of new services.

The Microsoft Lead SharePoint Developer will provide the following support:

Develop, implement, and maintain SharePoint technologies and applications with a focus on using "out of the box" SharePoint functionalities with minimal customizations. This includes developing and maintaining SharePoint site collections, team, and collaboration and project sites using standard templates when possible.

The successful candidate will also be responsible for leading a team of Software Engineers including planning and scheduling, cost and risk projection, coordination of workload, trade studies, employee recruitment, selection, development and training, performance assessment, work assignments, salary assessment and recognition/disciplinary actions when appropriate.

Required Skills:

Hands on SharePoint Development experience creating SharePoint features and solutions including custom: content types, web parts, event receivers, workflows, and site templates
Proficiency in SharePoint (SP2010) Site and Central Administration (configuring and managing SharePoint Services, site collection administration, site creation, feature configuration, etc.)
Proficiency in SharePoint
