Service Desk Technician - 1st Line Support

A Service Desk Technician is required for a 1st Line Support role based in Crawley, Surrey working for a leading payments integration company.


In the role you will provide quality support with a high degree of customer satisfaction, technical expertise and timeliness. The role is a night shift, working from 10pm - 4am Monday - Thursday. It is essential you have a drivers license for the role.


For this Service Desk Technician role you must have experience providing support in a Service Centre technology environment, and have a good understanding of relevant processes and the importance of meeting targets and maintaining good customer relations through excellent customer service. It is vital for the role that you have a broad experience of communicating with customers in varying support situations


The role is working as part of a CE WAN Migration, which will involve applying configuration changes to LAN Switches from a Script provided, any previous experience of this would be highly desirable as would any knowledge of the transportation industry. Experience of Cisco IOS and VDU/Keyboard work is essential.


In the role you will research, resolve and respond to queries received via telephone calls, emails and perform call-backs in a timely manner in accordance with the Service Level agreements and monitor and action alerts and tools in accordance with the Service Level agreements, liaise with customers and sub-contractors where necessary to manage calls through to resolution provide and complete a first line fix where possible and within defined time scales.
