Account Manager

Job Description

Account Manager - Payments - Acquiring

A leading Payments organisation are currently recruiting for an experienced Sales Manager to identify, approach and on-board a range of suppliers to deliver growth to their business. Partners include Independent software vendors across multiple sectors to mainly POS / EPOS hardware and software providers.

Job Role:
To close business directly with strategic merchants and achieve a given revenue target.
Aggressively target and recruit new Strategic Partnerships with VARs and POS vendors within a given area.
Establish effective strategies and gain commitment to volume sales from partners
Work closely with Account managers to maximise lead volume from your recruited partners
Close profitable business directly with strategic merchants (opportunities larger than 100+ terminals)
Identify and build relationships with a network of industry contacts to develop leads and new income streams
Record and report customer and partner data in a timely fashion. Maintain accurate forecasts and revenue projections.
Work closely with other teams to shape and deliver solutions to partners and customers

Skills & Attributes:
Strong understanding of integrated payment services, UK and European Card Acquiring market
Strong influencing and negotiating skills at all C-Suite levels and across the Customer Buying Centre
Strong commercial acumen
Proven successful sales track record, minimum 100% of target consistently
High level of oral and written communication skills, including a proven ability for public speaking
Dynamic approach adapting to changing requirements with the ability to manage multiple opportunities concurrently
Ability to network with industry specialists
Willingness to travel extensively by car and public transport

This role is home based, with UK wide travel. Knowledge of the payments industry is essential, Acquiring knowledge is highly desirable.
