Job Description

Prince 2 / MS Project / Financial or IT background

My client based in Surrey is within financial services and are looking to recruit a Project Co-Ordinator to join their PMO function.

As a Project Co-ordinator you will support the Project Managers and Project Office Manager by ensuring that the administration and co-ordination of projects is efficiently executed.

The successful candidate will be an organised, confident and pro-active individual who can contribute fully within a team and support in the delivery of our portfolio of projects.

The Project Co-Ordinator will run, administer and organise project activities on larger projects in cooperation with and under the direction of the Project Managers.

Responsibilities & duties

Including, but not limited to:

Assisting the Project Manager (PM) on larger projects
Attend project meetings and assist with determination of project requirements
Assist the PM in the drafting, issuance and maintenance of project documentation
Assist the PM in managing the project control logs (risk, issue, change, dependencies, and cost)
Assist in managing project communications.
Take minutes in project board meetings then issue to the project team members as required
Track the progress and quality of work being carried out against the expectations defined.
Use project scheduling and control tools to monitor projects plans, work hours, budgets and expenditures.
Assist with project reporting as required.
Communicate ideas for improving company processes with a positive and constructive attitude.
Keep the PM and others informed about project status and issues that may have impact.

Must Have:

Experience working in a project office.
Experience working in financial services or an IT environment would be beneficial.
Familiarity with project management methodologies, techniques and documentation (particularly Prince2).
Experience in the use of Microsoft Project beneficial.
