Data Governance Manager - Investment Banking - Fixed Income
Data Manager who will be responsible for all investment data management required by my highly successful financial client based in the City. Reporting opt the Operations Manager, the Data Manager will define and implement new procedures to improve the quality, policy, process and overall management of the transactions, security, market and counterparty data information used throughout the business.
The Data Manager will develop and implement the key strategic data management plan for the organisation by gathering relevant requirements from key stakeholders across the business and produce a clear scope documentation and prioritisation.
They will develop and implement improved party data quality to enable the production of exposure reporting & management of counterparty risks. Review and seek to improve with the business owner the data quality through central validation process. Manage data vendor relationships by establishing SLA's and monitoring of performance.
Have overall responsibility for solving trading data issues, including the root cause analysis and implementation of a long-term robust solution. Contribute to improving MIS and Risk reporting, participate in the development and implementation of new data systems.
To be successful in this new exciting role you will possess:
A minimum of 5 years relevant experience with specific skills and knowledge of data set re-engineering and management within a regulated financial services organisation, have in-depth experience of global equities and fixed income instruments.
Have proven project management experience
Experience in some of the following: Charles River, Simcorp Dimension, APT & major market data vendor services
Experience of Compliance, MIS, Performance, Finance, and Trading processes are desirable.
