Programme Planner / Project Planner - MS Project

One of my leading clients, who specialise in IT Systems Integration on a Global scale, are looking to recruit a Programme Planner to assist the Programme Manager in supporting one of the company¿s key business partners in an enterprise level technology transformation programme. This is one of the most ambitious programmes my client have worked on to date, and they require someone who is organised and has an eye for detail from a Project/Programme environment and who can prepare and coordinate the plans and schedules for new or existing areas of the programme. In addition, they will monitor and review manpower requirements, resolve issues and assess the progress against established plans and parameters.

Experience Required:
- Good working knowledge of modern scheduling and planning tools and techniques
- Demonstrable experience of large scale, complex programmes, including the management of schedule, risk, cost and the application of Earned Value Management (EVM)
- Excellent working knowledge of MS Project
- Proven ability to apply sound logic when translating information into a logical sequence of events, which require fully linked dependencies
- Knowledge in the maintenance and control of Integrated Master Schedules
- An interest in learning and applying all aspects of EVM to include the Work Breakdown Structure (WBS), Organisational Breakdown Structure (OBS), Responsibility Assignment Matrix (RAM), work package structure, Performance Measurement Baseline (PMB) and PMB change control
- Some knowledge and a willingness to learn the techniques of planning and scheduling in a complex design programme
- Proven ability to understand and work with a technical and multi skilled team
- Proven strong analytical skills
- Enthusiastic, self-motivated and committed to one¿s duties and responsibility
- Knowledge of JIRA is desirable
