Application Support Analyst
Leading Financial Services organisation is currently recruiting for an Application Support Analyst to provide support and management of a variety of internal and customer facing applications.
The position will include:
Being responsible for ensuring optimum system availability and integrity, including planning, scheduling and timetabling of own workload, and ensuring that systems are running to agreed SLA's.
Responsible for managing the implementation of new code and supporting the business in developing new applications to enhance operational performance.
Provision of second line support of mission critical applications, ensuring that priorities are adhered to in accordance with company standards and protocols, producing hot fixes and housekeeping and support tools.
Control and implementation of the delivery of changes and fixes to the environment
Development and implementation of procedures, ensuring that relevant documentation is updated as appropriate
Analysis of problems, clearly presenting results to clients, site peers, local management and executives.
Supporting application design and projects and providing Technical consultancy across the team's portfolio of work for both in-house and third party developed products.
SQL and PL/SQL
Java Runtime environment
Java Containers (Tomcat, IIS, Weblogic, JBoss)
Windows and Unix (Solaris) O/S
Demonstrable client/server knowledge
EFT real-time processing
Proxy server, web servers and network architecture
The role will involve participating in the out of hours 24/7 on call rota (1 week in 5)
